Jungle Is Massive!

During our week long Summer residency at Whipps Cross Hospital, we transformed the Acorn children’s ward into a magical neon jungle. Our Artist Facilitators led children in creative activities including making bedside pipe cleaner plants, animal eye masks, cutting and painting jungle leaves, trees and animals as well as creating a lost city and a cascading waterfall. As well as visual arts, children recorded soundscapes for the talking tiles which brought the jungle display to life with the voices of the children, their parents and siblings and the hard working NHS nurses and doctors. We can’t wait to return at Christmas!
