COVID-19 - Our Response

At Kazzum Arts we value the safety and wellbeing of our participants, partners and artists above all else.  In response to the UK government guidance we have made the decision to suspend our participatory activity until further notice.

It is important for us to navigate the many uncertainties of this time with a clear sense of purpose, remaining openhearted and responsive to the needs of our communities as we determine our next steps.  In the short term, we will be using this time to review the financial and operational impact that Covid 19 will likely have upon our organisation, whilst also taking the time to process our shared sense of confusion and worry.

We are determined to resume our participatory activity as soon as possible, undertaking the challenging yet creative process of adaptation within our programmes to ensure that we are able to support the wellbeing of our artist community, and continue our role in the lives of our young participants.  This will require a significant amount of courage from the staff team, demanding a resourcefulness, a change of tempo and realignment to our core values.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.  We have been so touched by the support from our community as we have galvanised and adjusted to this new shared reality.  If anything, these events are reconnecting us moment by moment to the mission of this wonderful charity and our ability to bring hope and joy to those who need it the most.

We hope that you, your family and community will remain safe in body, mind and spirit over the coming weeks.

Yours ,

 The Kazzum Arts Team.
